Visit to Jodrell Bank & Quinta Arboretum

A very exciting Church outing has been planned by Chris Fox (822779) and Andrew Wogan (822912) to the Jodrell Bank Discovery centre on Tuesday August 20th. Travel to the Centre will be by coach, leaving the Memorial Hall at 8.15 and returning at 5 p.m. The cost of the coach plus admission to Jodrell Bank is £25 for Adults and £10 for children (Under 4's go free.) Chris or Andy have forms to be completed and handed in, the closing date is Sunday 11th August. There will be a Telescope Walking Tour at 11.45 and again at 1.30 with a Guide to explain its fascinating history and ground breaking research.

More information can be obtained by going to the website :- www.jodrellbank.net.

There is a café on site, but it might be a bit expensive so it might be a good idea to bring a packed lunch with you.

In the afternoon we will visit the Quinta Arboretum and the village of Swettenham, with a nice country pub.

Don't forget to pick up a form from the back of the church if you are joining the church trip to Jodrell Bank. These forms must be handed in to Chris or Andy BY THE 1st OF AUGUST , together with the money , in order to assess numbers for booking a coach.
