Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea in aid of the Homeless was a great success. We extend our thanks to Rachael and Jim for giving us the use of their lovely house and ensuring that the event was held in beautiful, warm surroundings. Many thanks go to Chris Benson for his short talk and introduction to the activities at St. Thomas every Friday night when food is provided for homeless people. The abundance of food at the tea was due to the ladies of the church, who also did ALL the washing up, many thanks ladies, and finally , thank you to all who contributed to the entertainment and kept us amused all evening. £230 was raised to be shared between Homeless Action and St. John's Hospice.

Our congratulations and loving wishes go out to Julie, Anthony and big sisters Florence and Primrose on the occasion of the birth of Hector Stirling on Christmas day. May God bless him and care for him all the days of his life.
